Alfajores

The star of the table. Alfajores are delicate, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread cookies sandwiched with dulce de leche and dusted with powdered sugar. Soft, buttery, not too sweet, they are the pastry people reach for again and again.

Milhojas

Layers of crisp pastry stacked with cream and dulce de leche, finished with sugar. The name means "a thousand sheets," and the texture is exactly that, shatter-light and rich at once.

Pionono

A tender rolled sponge with a sweet filling, sliced into elegant spirals. It is light, pretty on a platter, and a lovely contrast to the denser pastries.

Empanadas
